Get Involved
There are many ways to get involved with the Open Lighting Project. Some only take a few minutes and you don’t necessarily have to be a programmer.
The contributing page lists some of the areas we need help with. If you don’t see an area that matches your skills, don’t despair, join the IRC channel and we’ll find something for you to do. If you hang around long enough you’ll become an expert.
Since 2012, we’ve participated in the Google Summer of Code (GSOC). The Google Summer of Code is a global program that offers students stipends to write code for open source projects. If you’re a student enrolled in or accepted into an accredited institution and you’re looking for a summer internship consider joining us next summer. For more information see the Open Lighting Project GSOC page.
